Why Women Empowerment

Over the past ten years, the significance of gender equality has gained recognition not just for the well-being of nations, but also for their advancement on social and economic fronts. The UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals prioritize the advancement of gender equality and the empowerment of women. This encompasses endeavors to ensure equal rights, opportunities, and resource access for women, thereby granting them the autonomy to make independent decisions and exercise control over their own lives. Empowered women play a pivotal role in driving economic growth, societal advancement, and sustainable progress. They actively participate in decision-making, education, healthcare, and leadership roles. The empowerment of women contributes to cultivating a society that is more balanced and inclusive, where women’s perspectives are acknowledged, their skills are appreciated, and their potential is fully actualized. This stands as a critical stride towards constructing a world that is fair and harmonious for all individuals.

What We Do

The JV Smileys Foundation focuses on empowering marginalized and socially excluded women. Through interventions in areas like nutrition, healthcare, and livelihood, the program enables women to take charge of their well-being and create positive changes in their community. By employing innovative community strategies, Swabhiman equips women with the skills and knowledge needed to access healthcare and achieve financial independence. Additionally, the program strives to foster gender equality by involving both men and boys in the process of women’s empowerment.
